No trout to be seen this week but some hold overs are still lurking around. Largemouth bass are finally pairing up and staging for the spawn and seem to be hesitant to bite for anglers but some fish being taken and released in 10 to 15 feet of water on various plastics throughout the day. Striper action declined this week from a slight up swing in the bite from last week. Most striper caught are in the 2 pound models with a few showing above 4 pounds. Anchovy, Sardine working for most with a few swim bait fish taken. Not much to report in the lagoon but some reports, unconfirmed, say LMB in the double digit models being taken and released to fight another day. Most fish caught in the first light hours in the later afternoon hours according to angler reports. No panfish or catfish reported.

Notables:
Jimmy Yu from Santa Clarita, CA caught 6 LMB on plastics the biggest being 3 to 4 pounds. Bab Caffeey from Quartz Hill, CA caught 7 LMB with the biggest being 4 pounds. And finally Carlos Palasios cuaght 3 LMB with the largest being 5.6 pounds.

The water is 52 to 54ish. The last trout plant was March 3rd. We got 1500 pounds and then another 600 pounds. We got trout plants in both the Upper (West Ramp) and the Logoon last week. Largemouth bass in both the upper and lower doing better than all other species. Bass are taking more plastics than anything else. Some cranks and top water action with decent results. Stripers are stacked up in the deeper waters but not on the chew, yet! The occasional striper have ben taken on plugs and swimbaits.
