Fishing is picking up! On May 19, a young angler and his father caught a bunch of trout, bass and crappie on night crawlers off of the rocky shore. 2 good sized catfish were caught in Harvery’s Cove on night crawlers. Largemouth bass were caught on spinners and soft plastics. 2 trout were caught 50 yards off the wall, lead core, multi colored 5 or 6 colors. 3 bass were caught top water with bright colored Rapalas. 3 crappie were caught trolling with lures and spoons. The Tackle Shop and Boat Rentals are open 7 days a week from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Bass Are on Beds

There hasn’t been much change since last week in the fishing conditions. Bass are on beds near structures and hitting on real and fake worms. Crappie are hitting on jigs and meal worms they are near redears, brush and rocky shelves. Drift for trout with night crawls at 50 to 60 feet deep. Power bait is working great for trout too.
