Both largemouth and smallmouth bass have been biting well throughout the coves around the lake on soft plastics thought the day and top water baits in the morning. Flukes and senkos rigged up weedless have been working best along the shorelines as well as nightcralwers and roboworms drop shot style. Stripers are still boiling around the lake, Chumash Island, Serrano, Posey Canyon, bear Trap and Yellowbar have been some hot spots lately in the morning and afternoons. Catfish are still biting pretty well down deep in the coves as well off a variety of baits such as chicken livers, anchoives, sardines and night crawlers bait and wait. Hot spots from shore are still along the channel by the entrance booth and off the rip rap in front of the boat shop.
