Fishing picked up a little this past week with numbers of Largemouth Bass being caught on just about anything thrown at them. Many fish reported in the 1-3 pound range with a few tipping 6 and 7 pounds for a few anglers. Striper action took an up swing with numbers of limits reported and confirmed. The bait bite picked up from past weeks. Medium size swim baits and top waters also scored some striper in the 8-12 pound range. The bite is best from just after sunrise to the 10AM hour then the bite will dramatically slow down. Shad have moved out for the most part but silversides are up close to shore. Cats still on the chew for those looking for a few good pan size fish. No reports on pan fish. The lagoon has been fair on the bass bite from reports of night time fishermen.
