Stripers, bass and trout have been biting well over the past week thought the marina and around the Chumash Island along with the other coves around the lake. Serrano, Bear Trap and Yellowbar have been good spots to troll through or even come across boils in the mornings along with the Marina throughout the day. Trout have been caught off various power baits and nightcrawler down deep in the coves and along the channel up front by the kiosk. The stripers have been biting most lures during the boils or nightcrawlers and anchovies thought the day bait and wait style. Bass are also going for different types of lures during the morning or soft plastics and night crawlers as the day professes. Catfish have also been biting consistently on sardines, chicken liver and even nightcralwers through coves and along the channel.

Limits of stripers are still being caught throughout the lake off boils the first few Horus fo the morning. People have been using various jigs and top waters around Chumash Island, Bear Trap, Serrano and Yellowbar to catch stripers and trolling through the area later in the day. Trout are still being caught along the channel by the front booth and along the rip rap in front of the boat shop using worms and powerboats throughout the day. People are also having luck using kastmasters and little spinner baits throughout the marina for trout as well over the past couple weeks.
