The weather continues to be cool in the mornings and sunny in the afternoon. Bass have been biting for the past few days. Several have been reported as large as 20” both small and largemouth. One angler broke the bass streak by catching two trout, one 18” and one 22” on night crawlers. A few caught catfish on catfish dough off a boat around the island close to the reeds.

Last week at Lake Cachuma we had high winds and the lake was restricted to large boats periodically. A 5 lb. bass were caught as well as catfish and trout by one angler using night crawls on Tuesday. The angler wouldn’t give us his fishing spots. Catfish have been the story of the week.
