Proof positive prized bucketmouths can be targeted with near-surgical precision from the luxury of a lawn chair aboard the ultra-stable 12-passenger pontoon rental. This specimen of about 5 pounds was taken from the depths of the Wadleigh Arm at Lake Casitas and released by Rob Bagott of Rockwall, Texas, on a Texas-rigged (what else?) drop-shot setup. The superior buoyancy and stability of the the craft, along with the "backyard feel" of the chairs, gave anglers -- three from Texas and one from California -- the "stand up anywhere anytime" confidence and level of relaxation needed to precision-cast to the notoriously capricious bucketmouths of the Ventura County impoundment.
