Bass Bite is Excellent Around the Lake

The bass bite is excellent all around the lake, on and off the shore. Those willing to share said they used Robo worms and mondo worms. A sunfish was caught just past the buoys. A catfish was caught on magic bait close to the dam. The trout continue to be a challenge with only a few being caught since the lake turned over. We’re still love 70 % water capacity, well above the spillway. No trout plants are on the schedule.

The weather has been a little more favorable, but the fish have been a bit elusive. The lake has turned over, so the entire lake is well oxygenated and the temperature is sitting in the high 50’s. Bass have been unseasonably active. The trout and catfish have been slow. Bass are biting on drop shots and crank baits. Garlic worms and working for catfish and tout when you can find them. ......
