Fishing has been great over the past week for multiple species both off shore and throughout the lake. Many anglers have been catching trout on various baits from shore such as little spinner baits and kastmasters but the best baits have been nightcrawlers and powerbait throughout the day. Lots have catfish have been caught out on the water down deep in coves around the lake on Sardines, Chicken Liver and nightcrawlers. Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass have been biting very well along the shorelines on many different baits such as jerkbaits, crankbaits, ned rigs, flukes and senkos throughout the day with some top water action in the mornings for both Bass and Stripers. Stripers have been busting during the morning hours throughout the lake, being caught on top waters, jerkbaits, and lugworms from the banks, bait and wait style.
