We are finally back open after a long wait. The lake was being used to combat the fires as a base of operations. We have only been open since yesterday so there isn’t much fishing to report on, it was packed with private boaters like normal.

Fishing was decent though, especially with the lack of pressure this past month. There were good numbers to report for largemouth and smallmouth bass. Most fish were caught on reaction style baits and anything mimicking a shad. The stripers were also boiling first thing and throughout the day down at the end of the ski arm near the bouy line. Catfish were biting decently as well, with a few caught off sardines and anchovies. Bluegill and crappie are still biting in good numbers, and most have been caught odd small wax worms or meal worms. Trout are still biting Powerbait as well. Mainly around the west ramp.
