As of December 20th the lake capacity was 64%. Bass and trout are the two main species that are currently biting. As that water starts to get colder the bass bite will being to get tougher however, the trout bite will pick up as they are more comfortable in cooler waters.

Bass are now in their winter haunts. Bass are currently in about 12-30 feet of water and are lethargic. Bass have been bitting off of slow moving baits, dropshot, ned-rigs, and big swimbaits. Slowing down and downsizing and or upsizing your baits will increase your odds.

We have planted 12,000 pounds of Rainbow Trout in the last 2 months! These trout have been biting just about everything from powerbait to lures. Trolling is still considered the best way to catch trout. If you are going for trophy bass, consider using big trout style swimbaits.
