Various cut baits and worms have been working the best for most anglers along the shorelines over the past few weeks with current weather and water conditions. Anchovies and sardines are working well for stripers and catfish off the points past the swimbeach and in the canal by the entrance booth.

More trout have been planted this past Tuesday and have been biting nightcrawlers, mice tails and different types of little spinners and kastmasters a bit deeper off the shorelines and marina.

Largemouth and smallmouth bass are also biting pretty well on soft plastic setups deeper along the steep drop offs and points of the lake. Anglers have had great luck using jigs, senkos, and roboworms with the colder water conditions, fishing with more finesse and working their baits slower.
