Many people over the past week have been catching stripers and trout along the canal by the front booth, the rip rap in front of the bait shop and the points past the swim beach. Lugworms, chicken liver, and anchovies, have been working well for the stripers from shore throughout the day, hooked up Carolina style or drop shot with a heavy weight to be able to endure the winds and current.

Trout have been bitting nightcrawler mice tails and power baits throughout the marina and first few coves heading out into the lake.

Stripers have been also biting throughout the lake while trolling deeper diving baits or kastmasters and even spooning in deeper water during this colder weather.

Anglers have been catching bass on various soft plastics setups and some reaching bite deeper either spooning or jigging the points around the lake have been working well.
