As of January 31st the lake capacity was at 64%,

We are almost in our pre-spawn bass fishing season! The water temps have been slowly rising, therefore bass are starting to eat more and more in preparation for the spawn. The pre-spawn has already started on the south end of the lake where the water temps are already in the high 50’s. You will find greater odds for a bigger bass in warmers waters. With the pre-spawn in mind you will want to use bigger baits such as swimbaits, big jigs, and worms. These pre-spawn bass are moving into shallow water so focus most of your attention to shallow water with rock or woods. Bigger females will use the best isolated over near these shallow water areas. This included standing timer away from a brush pile or a big rock near Chunk Rock. Color of bait is also really important. You will want to use bluegill colors, black & blue, reds, and yellows. These colors not only match a bluegills color scheme, but are also bold and provide contrast in murky waters from the rain. Bass mainly feed off of bluegill or crawfish during the pre-spawn and spawn, so focus your baits to both of those.

Trout are biting just about everything and are mostly caught trolling.

We are open at 7am and the last boat goers out at 2pm and boats must be returned by 4pm.
