Stripers and Catfish are still being caught along the canal by the entrance booth and points beyond the swimbeach on Sardines, Anchovies, and Lugworms. A few people have had luck out in coves and rocky points also by sinking baits throughout the day. Trout are still biting on nightcrawlers and powerbait throughout the marina and along the rip rap in front of the bait shop but they have slowed down since the plant last week. Bass have been biting pretty well throughout the lake and along the banks mainly on various soft plastic setups and jigs. Senkos, Roboworms and creature baits have been producing bites off the steeper walls and rocky points during these colder conditions. Anglers have been getting bit on deeper diving jerk baits and crankbaits with the low water level and choppy conditions throughout the previous couple of weeks.

Many people over the past week have been catching stripers and trout along the canal by the front booth, the rip rap in front of the bait shop and the points past the swim beach. Lugworms, chicken liver, and anchovies, have been working well for the stripers from shore throughout the day, hooked up Carolina style or drop shot with a heavy weight to be able to endure the winds and current. Trout have been bitting nightcrawler mice tails and power...... Read More
