Stripers have been biting well off the shoreline along the canal by the entrance booth and rip rap in front of the bait shop on lugworms, mackerel and sardines. The points located just past the swim beach have also been producing stripers throughout the day on the various cut baits and some reaction baits as well such as her baits and soft plastic swimbaits.

Anglers have reported good fishing behind the island towards the dam, Yellowbar, Serrano and Spanish Point for Stripers and Catfish. Most catfish have been caught down deeper in coves around the lake using chicken liver, mackerel and sardines with a heavier sinker to be able to endure the winds and currents.

Trout have slowed down quite a bit in the marina but have been caught on powerbait and nightcrawlers out in Posey Cove, Spanish Point and Bear Trap throughout the day.
