Capt Pat Cavanaugh called us early and asked that we have everyone at the landing and ready to go aboard the PACIFIC DAWN by 8pm. Everyone was at FISHERMANS LANDING by 6pm and ready to go. The boat arrived at the dock at 7:30pm from it\'s previous trip and we were on board and underway by 8pm. Second Captain Dustin gave us our safety briefing and told us the run to the Albacore grounds would take about 15 hours and we would arrive around 11am. We were happy about sleeping in the next morning, most were awake by 7am and Capt Pat announced that the Albacore had moved during the night and we would be fishing by 9:30am. After a very hearty breakfast prepared by Whitney, we were getting rigged and ready. The Albacore had a slight case of lockjaw for most of the day, we did manage 18 Albies to 35 lbs and one bluefin to 40 lbs. Day two was spent paddy hopping and we scraped up 12 yellowtail to 28 lbs and 6 dorado to 22 lbs. Congrats to Clenton Burke for taking the jackpot on both days. Special thanks to \"Man Dog\" Mike, Moses and Butter for all you help on the deck and keeping us entertained. New galley Chef Whitney made sure that no one was ever hungry and prepared some outstanding meals. Capt\'s Pat and Dustin did everything they could to get us on fish and we were rewarded with some great quality fish.
