Bass have been biting along the grass lines of the lake on various soft plastics like creature baits, senkos and flukes. Early morning hours have been good for reaction style baits like smaller sized crank baits and top waters along with jerk baits on the edges of the weeds and points. Stripers are still biting mainly fresh sardines, hooked up drop shot style with a long leader and a heavy sinker to manage the winds and current. Some boils have been seen in the marina and along the main stretch going out towards Spanish Point in the morning hours and have been caught using smaller top waters, jerk baits and kastmasters. Catfish are still biting consistently on chicken liver, sardines and nightcrawlers from the rip rap along the shoreline in front of the boat shop and the canal by the entrance booth throughout the day.
