The water levels haven't dropped anymore this past week and keeps gradually going up and back down. As long as it does get ay lower we should be alright with room to launch on the main launch ramp.

The west launch ramp is completely out of the water and is only accessible by walking down to the shore. It seems like they have been making good progress retrofitting gate puling on the dam’s pump house. Hopefully we will start to see them raise the level around November-December this year.

The fishing has remained steady this month with a lot fo good numbers coming in. Stripers have been boil gin less with this colder weather, but still have been schooling up around 40+50 feet of water. Most anglers have been using flies with lead core, umbrella rigs, and spoons. Other anglers are using cut bait and lug worms to land some decent stripers as well. A fish finer will help tremendously at location deeper schools of fish.

The largemouth bite is still going steady, with a lot of topwater and reaction bait fish being caught first thing in the morning and later in the evenings. Big boat balls have been up on the surface and angler shave been managing to net some. Live shad has always one a good bait if you are able to get your hands on some. Plastics and finesse style baits have been working good too. Nightcrawlers have been a good all around choice of bait for all species.

Catfish are also biting cut bait, chicken liver, and nightcrawlers seem to be working the best.

Bluegill and crappie have been working hard to target but have been easier to catch at the lower lake lately. Meal/ wax worms or crickets have been doing the trick.

There has been some decent quality largemouth coming out of the lagoon as late, finesse style plastics have been working the best.

The water is still constantly dropping a foot or two a day and the water level is crazy low. They’re doing construction on the dam which is the reason behind the water drop these past few months. Hopefully bu the end they will have enough water to fill it back up, fingers crossed. The largemouth bite has been steady the past few weeks. Even with these waterer temps we’ve been having the topwater and reaction bite has been decent. When it...... Read More
