We just received our third stocking in four weeks just last Monday. 1,200 lbs. of rainbows were dumped at the main launch ramp. Overall trout fishing has remained steady, most fish are being caught on Kastmasters, panther Marins or powerbait. Garlic scent and brighter colors has been seeing the most action.

The stripers are also still on the chew with good quality as of late. There definitely has been a bunch of small stripers caught but we have been seeing bigger ones being pulled out. Most have been caught off the bottom on cut bait and worms. Sardines, anchovies, lugworms and nightcrawlers all have been working. Some anglers are still trolling umbrella rigs and flies with success. The guys hucking big swimbaits have been able to land a few bigger sized stripers as well. Huddles tons, bunkers and glide baits ahem been getting most of the attention.

The largemouth and smallmouth bite is still good, you have to take the time to locate them schooled up and you can get on some good quality fish. A fish finder has been helping lately target those deeper schools of fish. Drop shots and Carolina rigged plastics seem to be working the best.
Catfish have slowed down along with bluegill and crappie. Most of these species have still been biting at the lower lagoon.

We finally had our first trout stocking of the season on 10/28/21. The trout being just stocked will be easiest to catch these next few days. We hopefully should be getting a stock every other week from now until spring. Trout have mainly been biting on Powerbaits, spoons and garlic nightcrawlers. Small trout jigs have also been working. The striper bite has remained productive, with angels reporting limits with some decent size ones in the mix. For the most part there...... Read More

The water level hasn’t dropped anymore this past week and rose about 10 feet from where it had been. With that said we are still at a very low water level right now. Hopefully we will start to see them raise the level around November-December of this year based on the progress with the construction. They seem to be getting close to finishing. Fishing has started to slow down with the cooler temperatures, but anglers are still managing good numbers...... Read More
