We just recently had a trout stocking on 3/31/22 on the main launch ramp. It was approximately 1,400 lbs. of quality rainbows. Powerbait, inline spinners kastmasters and trout mini jigs have all been working. It has slowed down since it’s been more than a week since the plant, but you can still manage to catch some holdovers.

The striper bite has been where it is at. Most fish have been caught off the bottom with sardines, anchovies, lug worms and night crawlers. Trolling has been another method of hooking into some decent sized striper, usually with an umbrella rig, flies on lead-core and spoons. Big trout swim baits have also been seeing some good action as of late. Most fish have been coming from deeper waters off the cut bait, but shoreline anglers have also been able to stick a few in around 30-50 feet of water.

The largemouth and smallmouth bite is still a little slow but has picked up this past week, a nightcrawler or finesse plastic has been working for most anglers. Robo worms in oxblood and Aaron’s magic have been working best. Some reaction baits have also been seeing some action. We are getting ever closer to the spawn.

The catfish are still biting in good numbers, mainly off any type of cut bait or worm.

The crappie and bluegill have been slowly picking up and have bene making more of an appearance. The lower lagoon has been better area for these species off of wax worms and meal worms.
