Buena Vista Lakes Fish Report for 8-19-2022
Fishing was fair at BV last week
Buena Vista Lakes - Bakersfield, CA (Kern County)
by Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Fishing was fair at BV last week, and anglers reported heavy boat traffic and high water temperatures. Those conditions pushed the bass into the cattails and weeds, and anglers had to go in after them with flipping techniques and topwater frogs. Finesse baits cast to the edges of cover also scored some nice largemouth. Catfish anglers used dip bait, chicken liver, and nightcrawlers to land whiskerfish, and crappie anglers did damage with minijigs.
