Catfish have been biting very well off various cut baits from sandy banks or from the canal by the entrance booth from the shoreline with a heavy sinker to endure to current. Mackerel, Chicken Liver, Sardines and Anchovies have all been excellent baits for both the catfish and stripers bait and wait style throughout the lake and from the banks.

Trolling has been effective to come across the stripers around the lake throughout the day; however, the debris from the previous storms that have been floating around the lake have made fishing much more challenging along with boating as well.

Bass are biting more slower presentations with the colder water conditions and some deeper diving crank baits on the rocky banks.

Trout have moved out towards deeper water such as Bear Trap and Posey Cove with powerbaits and nightcrawlers.

Water temperature: 58 degrees
