Pyramid Lake, CA Fish Report for 2-17-2023
The lake level held at 86 percent of capacity, and water conditions continue to improve
Pyramid Lake, CA - Caswell, CA (Los Angeles County)
by Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake level held at 86 percent of capacity, and water conditions continue to improve. There are still debris in the lake, so be careful while motoring. Bass fishing has been decent with the morning to mid-day session producing the best. Darker colored jigs, Fat Roboworms, and shaky heads picked off large and smallmouth along points and bluff walls. The bite has been decent with some of the locals reporting catching over ten bass in a single outing. Striper anglers used cut baits, chicken liver, and nightcrawlers for two to five pound fish, and catfish ate those same baits at the inlet and along the swim beach. There was a trout plant here this week, and anglers reported a solid pick on dough baits, minijigs, and various trout lures.
