Pyramid Lake, CA - Caswell, CA (Los Angeles County)
by Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake held near 85 percent of capacity, and fishing was fair last week with only a handful of anglers braving the winter conditions. The lake was also closed several times due to road closures. Largemouth went for darker colored jigs, and larger profile plastic baits worked slowly in deeper water. Striper anglers used cut sardines and anchovies near the marina and at Yellowbar, and catfish took dip bait and chicken liver. Trout anglers reported rainbows eating dough baits, minijigs, and various trout lures.
