At River Walk, CDFW stocked trout last week and has another plant scheduled for next week. Anglers are reporting decent action on Powerbait, Mice Tails, spinners, and jigs. Bass fishing remains steady, with fish being caught on crankbaits, jerkbaits, jigs, and shad-style plastics fished on a drop shot. Bluegill are also being caught at both lakes, with wax worms and red worms producing consistent bites. Looking ahead, the BKO Fishing Derby is set for February 7, 2026. Both lakes will be stocked with more than 1,000 pounds of trout up to five pounds, including 25 tagged fish worth up to $1,000. Tickets and additional information are available at Cope’s Tackle and Rod.
