Pyramid fluctuated between 90 and 95 percent of its storage capacity, and angling was very good. The bite picked up again for both bass and striped bass. Largemouth and smallmouth bass took finesse baits along bluff walls, points, and in the grass, while jigs and small swimbaits also accounted for plenty of catches. Topwater was effective until about 8:30 a.m., with walking baits and poppers both producing well. Striped bass took topwater during the same timeframe and in the same areas. Cut sardines were the best way to fool linesides after the sun climbed higher in the sky, with fish holding in 30 to 90 feet of water. Some monster catfish weighing up to 15 pounds were also reported by striped bass anglers.
