The past week here at Lake Perris has started with rough weather bringing the number of anglers to a minimum. Bass, Redear and catfish have been caught in small numbers around various areas of the lake. Trout and Redear has been the main catch around the launch ramps and neighboring coves.

The following are the fish ratings:

Bass: Fair
Bluegill: Poor
Carp: Poor
Catfish: Good
Crappie: Fair
Redear: Excellent
Trout: Excellent

It has been quite and exciting week for our Trout & Bass Anglers as they take the lead with "Hit-Frequency" with night crawlers and dark colored powerbait worms out of lots 5 & 6 or the Marina Shoreline. For the Panfish, our redear has been obsequiously overcasting all other panfish; no bluegill or crappie have been reported. This past week has been quite diverse with a variety of fish hitting superbly in the Marina and Launch Ramp Coves; Trout hits are picking up quickly in these two coves, off of night crawlers mostly. The panfish action is quite decent off the Marina Ducks, hitting best off of red worms, night crawlers and crickets.
