We are on the board and scheduled for a trout stocking this week. So with another big stock on the way, hopefully we can achieve some striper action. We are also less than ten feet away from being at full pool. It has still been very hard to bring the stripers Castaic has been known for. But some anglers are still having some luck out on the water fishing with sardines and chovies. The buoy line and C point have been the best places for stripers. At C point, the stripers have even boiled a few times of the past couple weeks. the large mouth bite has been pretty good as well. Most of the largies being caught are coming out of the fish arm. Hawks nest and Elizabeth Cyn have been producing the most fish off of shad baits and some crank baits. Night crawlers have been working very well for a lot of the rental boaters. The lower lagoon fishing has been doing way better than it has over the past months, and at night it really takes of down there. Night crawlers an shad baits are also working down at the lagoon as well. For more information, please contact the Marina at: 661-775-6232 or at [email protected]..

2700 lbs. of trout were dumped at the main ramp on Monday the 27th which helped the stripers a little bit but not as much as everyone was anticipating. Although there are still a lot of trout that made it through the week and were caught all throughout the New Year, we still can seem to get these stripers active. When the stripers do bite, they are still biting down deep and on cut bait. The large...... Read More
