Still no sign of a decent striper bite at all. Most of them are hovering around 60 to 120 feet, some even as deep as 250 feet out by the jet ski buoys. The fish around 60 to 120 feet, you can try to spoon for or try cut bait. Where these fishes have been metered are the usual spots around Elizabeth Cyn, Kong Island, the buoy line and C-point. The large mouth bite is still doing very well at the upper lake but not as good as it has been at the lagoon. With the water level returning to normal at the lagoon and the constant release of water, it has really slowed down the bite. But still the plastics and worms are working great for those stubborn bass at the lagoon. At the upper lake worms and plastics are working as well, but the largies are a little deeper than usual, some around 30 to 45 feet but some nice bass have been showing up. Darryl from Castaic caught an 8.2 pound largie with his son this past Thursday on a Robo worm back in Elizabeth Cyn. More largies are being report on the west side of the fish arm. These fishes seem to be biting better in the afternoon so in the morning most anglers have been hitting up the ski arm and the east side of the fish arm

Around 60 to 120 feet deep near the buoy line, C point, and Sharron's Rest. Sardines are still working for the stripers. Tons of largies are being caught all day throughout the lake on shad and shad imitations. Plastics and...... Read More

We are on the board and scheduled for a trout stocking this week. So with another big stock on the way, hopefully we can achieve some striper action. We are also less than ten feet away from being at full pool. It has still been very hard to bring the stripers Castaic has been known for. But some anglers are still having some luck out on the water fishing with sardines and chovies. The...... Read More
