Fishing at Castaic is picking up.There has been some good striper fishing the last couple days. Most of the stripers are being caught on nightcrawlers and lug worms.Catfish bite has been good with a few double digit fish this week.Most catfish are being caught on nightcrawlers and mackerel. The largemouth bass fishing is good.The bass are getting active and are starting to bite reaction baits like topwater,jerkbaits,and crankbaits.The reaction bite is best in the morning.Most bass are still being caught on plastic worms and nightcrawlers in 5 to 25 ft.

Water Temperature: 68 Degrees

Bass: Fair
Catfish: Good

Fishing at Castaic is fair. Largemouth bass are biting best with fish being caught on plastic worms and night crawlers. The striper fishing has been slow. . Most stripers are being caught on umbrella rigs and spooning in 50 to 75ft. Catfish are being caught on mackerel, anchovies and night crawlers.
