Fishing at Castaic is good right now. The striper boils have slowed down the last couple of days. Most stripers are 3 to 5 lbs. The largemouth bass have been biting well. Most largemouth are being caught on plastics in 5 to 30ft.The catfish bite is going strong with many double digit catfish caught the last month.

Bass: Good, Avg Size: 3lbs
Bluegill: Fair
Carp: Good, Avg Size: 20lbs
Catfish: Good, Avg Size: 5lbs
Crappie: Poor
Redear: Poor
Trout: Poor

Water temperature was 79F. Fishing at Castaic is good. The stripers have been boiling good in the mornings at the bouy line and in front of west ramp, off c point and in the jet ski area. The largemouth bass fishing is good. Most bass are being caught on plastics in 5 to 30 ft. The catfish bite is fair. Most catfish are being caught on mackerel and nightcrawlers in 25 to 75 ft.
