Anglers used just about everything to catch their trout this week. Power bait ( especially spring green, orange and rainbow), night crawlers, jigs and lures all produced limits. Anglers also used lots of attractants. Hot spots included western, eastern and northern shores of lake 2 as well as the western shore from the pump house to the drain and the eastern shore of lake 3.

Catches of the week: Fred Winterswyk of Rancho Cucamonga caught a 5 lbs 14 ozs ruby red steelhead using a gold jake on the eastern shore of lake 3. Phillip Frias of Rancho Cucamonga caught his 5 lbs 1 ozs rainbow on a frog super duper
while fishing the eastern shore of lake 2. 10 year old, Cedric Tejeda of Azusa scored a 4 lbs 2 ozs trout using a night crawler on the northern shore of lake 2. Fontana angler, Chris Smyth reeled in a 3 lbs 12 ozs rainbow on an orange power worm near the drain on the the western shore of lake 3. Matt Lapere of Palmdale caught his 3 lbs 9 ozs trout on spring green power bait while fishing on the eastern logged shore of lake 3. The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
