Bass fishing became even better this week with some bass being reported caught along the shallows in the afternoon. Large baits still the best for bass at the Marina, sail cove, and back side of the island. Trout remain the same, being caught off of worms and powerbait at lots 11 and 12, lot 5 and marina. A few panfish reported but nothing note worthy in number or size.

Whoppers:
Nathan Banks from Oceanside, CA caught a 6.8 pound bass at Sail Cove Pier using a rattletrap. He was in a boat about 30 feet off the pier. Trevor Williams from Moreno Valley, CA caught a 2.2 pound trout using PowerBait at the Marina. And Lorenzo Martinez from Moreno Valley, CA caught 10 trout using night crawlers at sail cove.

The fishing has been very good at Lake Perris. On February 6th Joel Taylor caught two bass. One at 7.12 and another at 10.15. He caught them over near the Ranger Tower using a swimbait with a BBZ.
