Trout action was excellent on both lakes with anglers using power bait
( Fl. orange, nymph, spring green, garlic, salmon peach), night crawlers, jigs and lures
to catch limits. Lots of limits went out again this week. Hot
spots included the grassy point, eastern and western shores of lake 3 as
well as the western, northern and southeastern shores of lake 2. Anglers
are reporting good bass action on drop shot, spinner bait and senkos.Hot spots for bass included the southern and northern shores of lake 2
and the northern and western shores of lake 3. Bluegill are still not up
but should be active in the next week or two if the warming trend
continues.
Catches of the Week: Victorville angler, Frank Bellezza, scored a 6 lbs
rainbow on orange power bait while fishing the eastern logged shore of
lake 3. He also caught a 2 lbs 4 ozs trout to limit. Mike Garrison of Azusa
caught a 4 lbs 10 ozs rainbow on a thomas buoyant near the pump
house of lake 3. Tyler Andreas of San Moreno reeled in a 3 lbs 8 ozs trout
on sherbert power bait on the western shore of lake 2.
The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.

Jess Ranch LakesAnglers enjoyed beautiful weather and great trout action on both lakes this week with lots of limits and nice size fish on most stringers. Trout bite was so good that anglers complained about catching their limits too quickly. Power bait ( sherbert, orange, yellow, and nymph), night crawlers ( inflated and doused with attractant), jigs lures and senkos all caught limits. Bite remained good throughout the day.
