Even with the heat on, anglers scored lots of limits. Power bait ( Orange, Sherbet, Spring Green, Captain America), night crawlers doused in garlic, jigs and lures all hooked trout. Hot spots included the grassy point, eastern and western shores of lake 3 as well as the northern and western shores of lake 2. Bass are hitting senkos, drop shot and spinner bait with anglers reporting weights up 4 pounds. Hot spots for bass are the southeastern shore of lake 2 and the northern shores of lake three. Bluegill are up and hitting meal worms, jigs and nightcrawlers. Hot spots for Bluegill are the northern shore of lake 3 particularly near the pump house and the northern and western shores of lake 2. Catches of the Week: Matt Pulver of Apple Valley reeled in a 7 lbs 6 ozs rainbow on a Trout Magnet near the northern inlet of Lake 2. Riverside angler, Dave Fitton, caught his 3 lbs 11 ozs trout on Salmon Peach Power Bait while fishing the eastern shore of lake 2 near the inlet. Greg Frasier of West Covina caught a 4 lbs 12 ozs trout on a night crawler while fishing the western shore of lake 3 near the pump house. Jon Adams of Victorville caught a 1 lbs 12 ozs bluegill on the northern shore of lake 2 on a night crawler. Steve Clark of West Covina caught a 3 lbs 14 ozs rainbow on an orange power mouse ( power bait/power worm combo). The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
