Trout action remained strong this week, even with the storm that passed through. Anglers caught lots of limits on Power bait ( especially salmon peach, rainbow and spring green), night crawlers, jigs and lures. Hot spots included the eastern and western shores of lake 3 as well as the northern and western shores of lake 2. Bass were hitting drop shot and senkos with anglers reporting bass up to 4 lbs. Hot spots for bass were the southern end of lake 2 at the wall and the western shore near the bridge and the northern end near the pump house of lake 3. Bluegill are hitting meal worms and night crawlers. Hot spots include the western shore of lake 2 and the northern shore of lake 3.

Catches of the Week: Jeff Inman of Silver Lakes caught his 6 lbs 2 ozs rainbow drop shotting with a Roboworm ( oxblood) while fishing for bass near the inlets of lake 2. Chris Lyttle of Rancho Cucamonga scored a 4 lbs 2 ozs trout on a gold kastmaster on the eastern logged shore of lake 3. Jason Kaplan of Redlands caught a 3 lbs 2 ozs trout on rainbow power bait while fishing the western shore of lake 2. John Patterson of Norco reeled in a 3 lbs 6 ozs trout on salmon peach power bait on the western shore of lake 3.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.

Even with the heat on, anglers scored lots of limits. Power bait ( Orange, Sherbet, Spring Green, Captain America), night crawlers doused in garlic, jigs and lures all hooked trout. Hot spots included the grassy point, eastern and western shores of lake 3 as well as the northern and western shores of lake 2. Trout action was excellent on both lakes with anglers using power bait ( Fl. orange, nymph, spring green, garlic, salmon peach), night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch limits. Lots of limits went out again this week. Hot spots included the grassy point, eastern and western shores of lake 3 as well as the western, northern and southeastern shores of lake 2.
