The heat continues to bring the water temp up in the upper 70's to low 80's with the algae bloom making it a little tougher to get the office. Anglers reporting that cranks, spinners, and rattling type baits producing LMB in the 2-4 lb models. Striper action picked up a little more this past week for boater as well as shoe anglers. Trollers are also getting a fair share. Most Striper are in the 5-7 pound model with a few in the 12 to 14 pound claass. (Unconfirmed) A few cats have been taken in various undisclosed locations in the upper and the northern end of the lagoon. No pan fish reported this week. Some anglers reporting a fair top water bite in the first few hours after sun up and the last few hours before sun down. Most reported fish in the 8 to 11 pound class and a fair fight. No shad on the surface as of yet but they are being spotted all over the lake in 20 to30 feet of water with a few balls up in the 10 foot range. Striper are making a slow come back with larger schoolies in the 4 to 6 pound average models.
