Even with the current water conditions Striper have Improved for many anglers who have put the time on the water in the quest for double digit fish. Bob Caffey of Trout only guide service again his cutomers on big fish as well as a fair number of fish in general. LMB are doing well on plastics with some anglers reporting 14-15lb fish days in various locations which remain undisclosed. Most anglers are getting 1-3 pound LMB from shore with a few in the 5-7 range. Striper from shore are hitting in the 4-6 pound range with an average of about 3 pounds. Most are taken on cut bat from shore with a few water and swim bait fish in the mix. The Lagoon has produced a few LMB in the 7-9 pound class with numerous 2-4 pounders taken on plastics. Not to much catfish action this week but a few taken in the 5 pound range by people soaking mack, crawlers, and Gulp dough bait. No pan fish reported this week.

Striper have become more active this past week. Bob Caffrey of Trout Only Guide service put clients on some quality fish while trolling this past weekend. Average fish tripping 8 pounds with a few 12 pounders in the mix. Other anglers report stripers to 15 pounds. One confirmed fish topped 22 pounds from the damn on cut bait. The heat continues to bring the water temp up in the upper 70's to low 80's with the algae bloom making it a little tougher to get the office. Anglers reporting that cranks, spinners, and rattling type baits producing LMB in the 2-4 lb models. Striper action picked up a little more this past week for boater as well as shoe anglers.
