Many striper caught on top water and swim baits in the hours just after sun up until the 10 AM hour when the fishing shuts down and becomes a bait and wait game. Many anglers soaking frozen were scratching up a few striper in the 10 pound class but most were getting into the 4 and 5 pound models on cut bait. Largemouth Bass were somewhat tougher this week but were caught on numerous different baits. Drop shotting produced a few int he 4 pound range but most were int eh 1 and 2 # class. Flukes worms and other plastics produced for many as well as small swim baits and crank baits. The Lagoon has slowed down a bit but reports of good bass fishing at sun up, then sun down and into the night. Catfish have made a show for manay fishing the bottom with reports of up to 20 pound channels and 4 pound bulls being caught.
