Wind this past week has still been a factor in people being able to launch their boats. With that being said, shoreline fisherman still are able to manage some fish. A good amount of trout has been pulled in recently, mainly on Power-baits and garlic scented worms. We have had a few days where the wind was manageable, and anglers reported a tough bite. The largemouth are still chasing shad and some catches have come on topwater and other shad imitation lures. Fly-lined flukes are also doing the trick. Other anglers are also getting bit on the drop shot or Carolina-rig, with a shad colored plastic working best. The stripers can still be seen boiling from time to time, mainly in the afternoon and later. Some anglers are having luck on the troll, while others are managing a few off a spoon a little deeper. You are still able to hook into a few stripers using cut bait as well. The catfish have slowed down with the water temperature dropping. Bluegill and crappie still are biting around submerged trees and shrubs. Anglers that have been using live shad have been having high number days with a lot of fish to report back.

Some anglers have still been getting them off of boils first thing in the morning and later...... Read More

It still has been hit and miss though, and you want to be in the right place at the right time. The past week has been a little weird with the fires and high winds, so it was generally pretty quiet during the week. There is a lot of...... Read More
