We have finally had some nicer days and managed to get some boats out on the lake. Overall fishing has slowed down and water temperature has dropped. There is still a decent amount of bait around the lake and any anglers using live shad have been having successful days with high numbers. Shad imitation lures have also been working such as flukes and some other reaction baits. The drop shot has also been rewarding anglers with some fish, mainly on shad colored plastics. There has been some trout caught recently, mainly on Power bait or a garlic scented nightcrawler. There has been fewer striper boils seen lately but some anglers have been managing a few on the troll or bye hitting main lake points. The bait bite has remained steady in deeper water on a sardine or anchovy. There has also been the occasional catfish caught while soaking cut baits. The bluegill and crappie have slowed down, with the lower lagoon being your best bet.
