Lately fishing has been tough for most anglers. We did have a trout plant on the 7th of November and there has been a fair share of trout being caught. We are hopefully expecting another one sooner than later. Most trout have been caught on Power-baits, mainly bright colored and garlic scented baits have been working the best. Spoons and small spinners have also been working for a few fellow anglers. The Largemouth and Smallmouth bass fishing has slowed down quite a bit and have been hard to figure out. Once you are able to find out what colored plastics they are preferring best, you can get on a few. Shad and crawler colors are working best. Most fish have been caught on a drop shot or Carolina-rig, with a few fish in the earlier and later hours being caught on some reaction baits and soft shad swimbaits. The striper bite has been slow overall, but you are still able to manage some decent fish with sardines, anchovies, and lug worms down deep. Some anglers trolling main lake points have also been having some luck. The catfish bite has slowed down as well, with a few whiskered fish still being caught while soaking cut baits or a nightcrawler. The bluegill and crappie are getting tougher to locate, with the lagoon being the best place for those species.

Shad imitation lures have also been working such as flukes and some other reaction baits. The drop shot has also been rewarding...... Read More

Shad imitation lures have also been working such as flukes and some other reaction baits. The drop shot has also been rewarding anglers with some fish, mainly on...... Read More
