Although conditions for bass have been tough, anglers have been able to get a bite down deeper using jigs and various soft plastics either Texas rigs or drop shot. Using night crawlers to drop shot or split shot have been working well off points throughout the lake and along steep drop offs as well. Some stripers have been caught off the swim beach and from the canal but the entrance booth off night crawlers and sardines, other anglers have been successful trolling around the lake with Alabama or umbrella rigs to cover more water while searching for stripers. Catfish have still been biting well mainly down deep in the coves found around the lake and also off points from the shoreline just past the swim beach. The trout bite has slowed down a bit in the marina but have still been biting along the rip rap on salmon egg and garlic powerboats.
