Busy, busy at Lake Perris lately as we see beautiful weather, more customers and more catch. With most reported tagged trout being caught in Sail Cove off of Rainbow Powerbait, anglers should see work about 30 yards cut. Redear also creeping into the spotlight within the Marina.

These are the following ratings:

Bass: Fair with an Average size of 3 pounds.
Bluegill: Poor
Carp: Poor
Catfish: Poor
Crappie: Poor
Redear: Fair
Trout: Good with an Average size of 1.125 pounds.

Consistent it has been for Lake Perris fishing as we see a steady pace in our catch. With fewer striper being pulled in the hunt is on for trout, which are being caught mostly at Sail Cove. Never fails does the community "word of mouth" propaganda as Lake Perris sees the anticipation fire- up for the striper hunt. With the striper record being beaten at 22lbs, it still seems to be the buzz. In other news, our tagged rainbow trout are popping up out of the woodwork. Redear have also been pulled in off the dock.
