"Everybody... Trout!" says a local fisherman at Lake Perris in response to the great trout hitting down at Sail Cove. Ironic as it may seem, the trout have been hitting more frequently now that a moth ago or even last week! Aside from Sail Cove, some other action has been happening down at lots 11 and 12 and also at lots 5 and 6 for some Redear.

These are the following ratings:

Bass:Fair with an Average size of 3.18 pounds.
Bluegill: Poor
Carp: Poor
Catfish: Poor
Crappie: Poor
Redear: Fair with an Average size of 1 to 1.50 pounds.
Trout: Good with an Average size of 2.18 pounds.

Persistence is playing key at Lake Perris this week. Half our anglers are bummed from no crappie or bluegill frenzies at all, the other half are ecstatic from our production of trout; tagged trout moreover. Busy, busy at Lake Perris lately as we see beautiful weather, more customers and more catch. With most reported tagged trout being caught in Sail Cove off of Rainbow Powerbait, anglers should see work about 30 yards cut. Redear also creeping into the spotlight within the Marina.
