Another small trout plant this past week in the lagoon made for some Largemouth Bass to come in closer to shore. Some report that surface lures have been somewhat productive in the morning and late evenings. High winds put a hurting on the upper this past week keeping fishermen home until the winds subside. Those who tough it out got into a fair schoolie size striper bite with many 4 and 6 pounders taken. Some on spoons, swim baits with most taken on cut baits. Largemouth Bass are still moving in on beds in many coves and have taken a liking to lockjaw, but many bass have been caught with plastics. Anglers report a weightless slow presentation working best with a minimal "Jig" bite. Creature baits also showing more results for the Largemouth Bass. Striper fishermen report that soaking bait in slightly deeper water has produced more fish that the surface. Speculations due to the high winds
