After finally opening form a month of forests closures, anglers have been catching largemouth and smallmouth bass along the shoreline around the lake on top waters, kastmasters, and flukes. The water has cleared up a bit since summer so even jigs and drop shots could be successful throughout the day as the bass go deeper. Stripers have also been caught throughout the marina by trolling kastmasters and umbrella rigs but no reports of boils yet. Most action has been subsurface off rocky points or trolling according to rental customers. A few catfish have been pulled up from the canal by the entrance booth over the weekend on chicken liver which is a great sign for bait and wait throughout the coves and deeper areas of the lake.
