Bass fishing for Largemouth and Smallmouth have been great over the past week on various baits depending on conditions and time of day but most bites have been on soft plastic baits being worked through the grass along the shorelines and coves. Senkos, Flukes, and Roboworms have been doing the trick for rental boaters and still some top water action during the early morning hours for both Bass and Stripers. No reports of boils but people have been getting bit down deeper on steeper walls and rocky points for Stripers throughout the day. Lugworms have been catching a few stripers along the channel by the entrance booth and off the end of the rip rap in front of the bait shop in the morning as well. Catfish are still biting rather consistently off the Island and down deep throughout coves on Sardines and Chicken Liver.

Stripers have also been caught throughout the marina by trolling kastmasters and umbrella rigs but no reports of boils yet. Most action has been subsurface...... Read More

Chicken liver and mackerel have been the top baits working lately along with sardines and anchovies. Sandy banks and deeper drop offs have been great spots to find the catfish during the heat of the day. No boils have been reported recently but a few stripers have been brought back in...... Read More
