The shad has come in shallower, and the boils have started to pick up once again. The bait is small but there is good sized bait balls to find. The stripers are still boiling, mainly first thing and later in the evening, but there have been days when they go off all day. There has also been reports of anglers having luck on the troll. White producer flies and umbrella rigs have been doing the trick.

The largemouth have been going crazy after the shad and are so keened in on the live bait, you have to really match the hatch. Flukes and topwater have been working in the boils, while some anglers have been having luck with the drop shot.

Catfish are still biting here and there with mackerel and chicken liver working best. The bluegill and crappie are still biting decent with meal and wax worms working best.

Overall the stripes have slowed down with the surface action, but anglers are still hooking up on the troll and with nightcrawlers on the fly-line.  The largemouth has slowed down as well with less boils happening but there are windows where they are going ogg after the anti and you can stick a handful. Flukes, topwater and reaction adits have worked best....... Read More
